January 01, 2009 - March 30, 2021

Okie McDonald, age 12, of Tunnelton, WV passed away peacefully and made his journey to Rainbow Bridge at 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday March 30, 2021 from the comfort of his home.

Born January 01, 2009, Okie was the beloved companion of Amanda McDonald and Wendell Williams, of Tunnelton. In addition to her parents, Okie is survived by her siblings, Ariana Taylor, Nate Taylor and Maliyah Williams.

Okie loved playing ball, his worm toy, sharing tummy time with Maliyah, and barking at his shadows. He was his family’s #1 spoiled boy. He was so great. He shared his dog spotlight with Gage, Jax, Juno, Luna, Triton and Athena.

In accordance with family wishes, professional services have been provided under the direction of Luke Massey Pet Cremation in Arthurdale and we are honored to care for Okie & the McDonald family.

Alyah Jean Downey, age 9, of Fairmont, WV passed away peacefully and made her journey to Rainbow Bridge during the early morning hours of Tuesday March 30, 2021 from the comfort of her home.

She was deeply loved by every member of her family, both human and fur alike. Those left behind to cherish her family include her parents, Gregg and Sara Downey, of Fairmont; she is also survived by her fur brothers and sisters: Jenks, Coby, Loki, Bella, Maddie, Daisy, Mocha, Abigail and Heidi.

Alyah Jean’s playful spirit and loving heart will be missed always.

Poppy High, age 20, of Bruceton Mills, WV passed away peacefully and made his journey to Rainbow Bridge at 1:30 a.m. on Friday March 26, 2021 from Cheat Lake Animal Hospital.

Poppy was born on the family farm in 2001. A full obituary is forthcoming.

~In Loving Memory of Alice Guseman-Summers~

March 26, 2021

Alice Guseman-Summers, age 12, of Reedsville, WV passed away peacefully and made her journey to Rainbow Bridge at 6:39 p.m. on Friday March 26, 2021 from the North Central WV Veterinary Emergency Clinic in the arms of her family and following a brief illness.

Alice was adopted from the PURR Rescue Center in Grafton, WV on December 03, 2011 by the late Hazel Guseman, of Reedsville; with whom she made her residence until May 14, 2015 when she joined the home and family of Mike and Leanna (Guseman) Summers.

In addition to her former owner, Alice was preceded in death by a feline sister, Catawba (who was also a rescue from PURR), on January 11, 2021. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a feline sister, Carmella – also a rescue from PURR.

Alice always kept watch of her sisters from an elevated location. She quickly learned the sound of a cabinet door opening where treats were kept. She loved spending the afternoons and evenings on the back porch – stretched out on a shelf – soaking up the sunshine.
